Sourced from 54-year-old vines, this 2021 Shiraz is fleshy and savory, with a core of meaty black and purple fruit. There's cherry, star anise, licorice and a hint of reduction, stretched out over a framework of mineral tannin. Already, after some time in the glass, the wine is opening up and revealing a willingness to open, to reveal. That's an appealing attribute in a wine. Decant it; it needs it.
