The 2021 Beaune 1er Cru Les Bressandes is immensely charming, wafting from the glass with scents of red berry compote, orange rind, rose petals and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, it's pure and seamless, with melting tannins and a mineral finish.

Offering up aromas of rose petals, blackberries, orange rind and sweet soil tones, the 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Les Bressandes is medium to full-bodied, bright and lively, with an ample core of succulent fruit, powdery tannins and fine depth at the core. It concludes a very fine range of reds chez Germain this year.

The 2018 Beaune 1er Cru Les Bressandes displays pretty aromas of rose petals, spices and sweet red berry fruit, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate that was a little out of sorts when I tasted it, marked by chewy tannins that I suspect will have resolved by the time it's bottled.

Offering up notes of spices, smoked duck and plums, the 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Les Bressandes is medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with a juicy core of fruit, melting tannins and a succulent finish.
