The 2016 Rosso di Montalcino does a good job of portraying the Sangiovese grape and the beautiful Tuscan landscape that shapes it. This is a straight-shooting and easy red to pair with your favorite pasta dishes or oven-fresh pizza. The wine opens to a luminous garnet color with aromas of dried cherry, red currant, spice and light licorice shavings. Production is small with just 3,000 bottles made.
