Bright in color and flavors, the 2020 Niederh?user Hermannsh?hle Riesling Auslese offers a very fine and slightly nutty bouquet of fully ripe but healthy Riesling berries. The acidity is precise and concise and lifts this delicate Auslese, whose sweetness is palatable yet everything but sticky. Still nervous on the palate, this is a light, fresh and piquant Auslese with excellent concentration and aging potential. I’d keep it untouched for at least 10 years, though. 8.5% alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in September 2021.

From perfectly healthy grapes, the 2018 Niederh?user Hermannsh?hle Riesling Auslese offers a very clear and aromatic bouquet of white peach, candied grapefruits, mandarin and crushed stones. Picked at 102° and 118° Oechsle (in mid-October and around the 10th of November), this is a round and generous, very elegant and balanced Auslese with a piquant finish. The 2018 is a very well made picture-book wine that lacks a bit of mystery at this stage. Tasted in July 2019.

The 2017 Niederh?user Hermannsh?hle Riesling Auslese offers a clear and pretty intense yet still crystalline and spicy-mineral and slatey bouquet with flinty notes. Round and creamy on the palate, with stimulating piquancy and moderate sweetness, this is an elegant and mouth-filling Auslese with floral and slatey notes on the aromatic and fruity finish. Very elegant and pleasant. Tasted from AP 36 18 in August 2019.

The 2015 Niederh?user Hermannsh?hle Riesling Auslese is lovely, pure and flinty on the nose, with super clear, ripe and healthy Riesling flavors. Round, sweet and concentrated, this is a very precise, lovely, piquant and spicy/mineral Auslese with grip and stimulating tension. A classic!

Lean, and focused like a laser. Apricot, grapefruit and green tea notes ride the vivid structure, and though rich, it's marked by the acidity today. Tangy, mouthwatering finish. Best from 2012 through 2035.??–BS??Region: Germany / Nahe Select to Add
