The 2012 Blanc Seleccio 15 Vinyes, from a dry and warm vintage, is a blend of Xarello (72%), old-vine Macabeo (14%), Garnacha Blanca (8%) and Malvasia de Sitges (6%) aged for three months in inox vats in contact with the lees. The color is a very pale yellow, and the nose is clean and fruity, mixing apple aromas with some citric notes and a fresh palate with moderate acidity and clean, straightforward flavors. Drink now. Jane Ventura’s 2010 Blanc Seleccio 15 Vinyes is a blend of Xarel-lo, 15% Muscat de Frontignac, with the balance Chardonnay and Malvasia that was fermented and aged in stainless steel. It offers up an alluring perfume of jasmine, nutmeg, mineral, and pear. Dry on the palate and reminiscent of Torrontes from Argentina, it is a savory, refreshing wine that will serve well as an aperitif or with light fish courses.
