Open and giving, the 2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Perrières exhibits notes of green apple, white flowers and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, saline and fine-boned palate, concluding with a mineral finish.

The 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Perrières offers up notes of waxy orchard fruit, citrus oil and pastry cream. Medium-bodied, delicate and tangy, it concludes with a somewhat herbal finish.

The 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Perrières exhibits a delicate bouquet of citrus zest and green apple, followed by a medium-bodied, delicate palate that's lively but seemingly a little diffuse. Perhaps it's a little shut down after its recent bottling?

Offering up aromas of smoky green orchard fruit, beeswax and dried white flowers, the 2017 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Perrières is medium-bodied and fleshy but tensile, with excellent concentration this year, concluding with a long, focused finish.

The 2016 Saint Aubin 1er Cru Les Perrières comes from a parcel bought from Chateau de Pommard in 2008 (I never knew they owned parcels outside Pommard!). It has a nicely focused, quite floral bouquet with fresh green apple, pear and white flowers. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with a keen thread of acidity, plenty of citrus fruit with good weight and concentration on the finish. It is a little conservative but it will drink well for 4 or 5 years.
