Notes of crisp yellow orchard fruit, lemon oil, freshly baked bread and blanched almonds introduce the 2020 Santenay Les Vignes Denses, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and concentrated wine that has realized all the potential it showed from barrel. Taut and racy, with a terrific spine of acidity and a penetrating, saline finish, it derives from high-density plantings in lieu-dit Les Prarons.

Aromas of crisp green orchard fruit, vanilla pod, citrus zest and praline introduce Jean-Marc Vincent's 2019 Santenay Les Vignes Denses, a medium to full-bodied, deep and immensely concentrated wine that's chiseled and tightly wound, with an elegantly muscular chassis of chalky dry extract and a bright spine of acidity, concluding with a saline finish. This cuvée assembles several of the domaine's high-density pantings, including young vines in premier cru Passetemps.

A new cuvée from Vincent, the 2018 Santenay Les Vignes Denses is showing brilliantly, unfurling in the glass with aromas of crisp yellow and green orchard fruit, citrus oil and fresh pastry. Medium to full-bodied, deep and complete, it's seamless and understated, with sneaky concentration and outstanding balance, concluding with a long and mineral finish.
