Aromas of freshly baked bread, pear, green apple, citrus oil and white flowers introduce the 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Corvée des Vignes, a medium to full-bodied, ample and charming wine that's seamless and enveloping, with lively acids and an open, expressive profile, even just after bottling. It's an excellent effort, even if the terroir here isn't on the same level as Vincent's best sites in Santenay and Auxey-Duresses.

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Corvée des Vignes is excellent, unfurling in the glass with notes of pear, citrus oil, fresh bread and almonds. Medium to full-bodied, bright and charming, with an ample core of vibrant fruit, lively acids and a saline finish, it's more giving and accessible than the structured, serious Santenay premiers crus that preceded it in this tasting.

The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Corvée des Vignes wafts from the glass with aromas of golden orchard fruit, Anjou pear, lemon oil, struck match and pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, it's tensile and incisive, with fine concentration, tangy acids and an elegantly chalky finish. Like all of Vincent's whites, it was bottled under Diam.

Revealing aromas of lemon oil, green apples, wet stones and fresh pastry, the 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Corvée des Vignes is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and incisive, with excellent depth and concentration, tangy acids and a long, delicately vanillin-inflected finish. It's a little shut down after its recent bottling, but its potential is considerable.

The 2016 Puligny-Montrachet Corvée des Vignes displays aromas of iodine, white flowers, lemon oil and smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural palate with tangy acids and a long, saline finish. It can't quite match the extraordinary 2017 rendition—or some of Vincent's 2016 Santenays—but it is a very fine Pulingy village fit to stand alongside the best renditions of the appellation in this vintage.
