The 2008 Edward Shiraz has a very deep garnet-purple color and quite a lot of cedar on the nose over notes of coffee beans, kirsch, blackberry preserves, licorice and loam. Very crisp in the mouth with a medium-firm level grainy tannins, this is an opulent, generously fleshed style with a long finish that still shows the oak. Still very tight and youthful, give this wine another 2 years for the oak to marry and drink it 2013 to 2019+. No known USA importer.
