Made in stainless steel only, the Kettmeir 2021 Alto Adige Müller Thurgau is a mid-weight white with a semi-creamy texture that reveals flavors of beeswax, fragrant tuberose, sweet sage and summer peach. The wine stays true to the grape, and it presents the high-altitude acidity and mineral sharpness to peg it to nowhere else but the mighty Italian Dolomites. Fruit comes from a hilly area known as Sopra Bolzano (above Bolzano) with gravel, limestone and porphyry soils. 22,000 bottles were made.

Stopped down and rather muted on first nose, the Kettmeir 2020 Alto Adige Müller Thurgau takes a while to open and never fully comes through with the floral or aromatic intensity that you might expect. There are moderate tones of passion fruit, jasmine, crushed stone and wild sage. About 22,000 bottles were produced.
