La Chablisienne

The Chablis wine co-op is one of the most famous in France and probably one of the best managed. Cuvee after cuvee and year after year, all of the wines presented here are impeccably crafted, with honest, sincere expression of terroir-even if one does occasionally come across deeper, more articulate wines made by indepen-dent producers. Our particular favorite was the Cuvee de Vieilles Vignes-it's a real treat finding that on a restaurant menu-and the Chateau Grenouilles, a very long-lived wine from the Grand Cru Grenouilles "monopole" (owned by a sin-gle winery).
