The light to medium-bodied 2009 Sauvignon Blanc Blueprint (100% Sauvignon Blanc) is a well-textured, crisp, elegant white exhibiting notes of lemons, citrus blossoms, grapefruit and wet stones. It is best consumed during its first year of life. The more expensive effort is called Georgia and it is one of the most singular, Graves-styled Sauvignons made in California. Aged 17 months in 100% French oak and obviously fermented in new French oak as well, this 100% Sauvignon Blanc possesses a richness and density that are remarkable. Proprietors John and Robin Lail are among an increasing number of Napa Valley producers making two hierarchies of wines, a less expensive cuvee based on purchased fruit and their flagship offerings that are usually made from estate-owned vineyards. The objective of these programs is to give consumers and restaurants less expensive wines without sacrificing quality. Lail’s value priced offerings are sold under the Blueprint label.Tel.
