In this vintage, the 2016 Colline Novaresi Piane is a pure expression of the Croatina grape. The best fruit sourced is used in this wine, and what is leftover goes to the Maggiorina. This beautiful wine releases delicate floral intensity with pressed rose and violets followed by wild cherry and raspberry. The wine ages in tonneaux for one year and is then transferred into large oak casks where it integrates and finds the excellent balance you taste here.

The 2009 Colline Novaresi Piane is mostly Croatina (90%) with a smaller part Vespolina. It represents a special selection of fruit from the best vineyard sites where some of the vines are over 100 years old. It reveals a dark and rich appearance with succulent fruit notes of dark cherry, moist chewing tobacco and exotic spice. This wine stands alone in the Le Piane portfolio for its thicker style and general opulence. For the 2011 vintage, this wine becomes a Vino da Tavola, and the wine was not produced in 2014.
