Picked before the Glass Fire, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso Vineyard doesn't include the old vines. Perhaps as a result, it's not as rich or dense as the 2019, offering up slightly confectionary notes of red cherries. It's still full-bodied, softly tannic, with good length and mouthwatering acids.

After 28 months in a mix of French and American oak, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso Vineyard has emerged offering up aromas reminiscent of cola spice, cassis and a hint of capsicum. It's full-bodied, silky, refined and elegant, turning more red-fruited on the softly dusty finish. This bottling includes some fruit from Cabernet Sauvignon planted in the 1940s, plus 5% Petit Verdot.

Martini's 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso Vineyard has the site's characteristic mint and herbal overtones, but it also offers deep cassis and plum notes. Full-bodied, ripe but firm, with typical Cabernet Sauvignon varietal austerity and reserve, framed by fine-grained, silky tannins that linger on the finish, it's a classic example of Monte Rosso Cabernet.

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso Vineyard comes galloping out of the glass with notes of crème de cassis, warm plums, cast-iron pan and bouquet garni, plus touches of lavender and olives. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is chock-full of muscular fruit, framed by firm, grainy tannins, finishing with an herbal lift. 2,200 cases were made.

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 28 months in new French oak (75%) and new American oak (19%), the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso Vineyard sings of blackberry pie, crème de cassis, fried herbs and cast iron pan with touches of tilled soil and dried lavender. Full and concentrated, with firm yet velvety tannins, it delivers mouth-filling black fruit preserves flavors and a long, mineral-laced finish. 1,200 cases produced.
