The 2010 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is sourced from 15-year-old vines and the blend is 50% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 5% Oseleta and 5% Teroldego. This is an impressive effort with a beautiful bouquet that is redolent of moist pipe tobacco, dried rosemary, tar, and dried figs or prunes. The wine’s natural density is balanced by sweet cedar and fragrant spice. Drink 2014-2022.
Luciano Arduini and his son Andrea run a vibrant boutique winery located between the stone terraced hills of Corrubbio and Castelrotto. The Arduini family has taken great care to safeguard the traditions of Valpolicella. The estate has seven hectares of vine, some of which are planted with the characteristic pergoletta veronese (overhead) training system commonly used in the steep terrains of northern Italy.
