The 2021 Woori Yallock Pinot Noir is finely framed and spicy, with red cherries, salted pomegranate (pomegranate molasses?), juniper berry, bay leaf and brine. The phenolics give off a market spice/pepper, rolled pastrami character. Very good. This has long been my favorite Pinot in the Mac Forbes lineup for its intensity of flavor, mouth-filling fruit quality and, above all (always, above all, for me), the very fine, almost chewy tannins that shape the fruit. It's a beauty.

Pale to medium ruby colored, the 2014 Woori Yallock Pinot Noir has a very pretty nose of kirsch, raspberry leaves, lavender and fresh cranberries with hints of dried herbs and earth. Don't let the light body here fool you—this wine has seriously good intensity and length with loads of nuanced layers of earth, herb and red berry flavors plus a pleasantly chewy texture. Very drinkable!
