The 2013 Aglianico del Vulture Bauccio simmers with smoky barbecue spice that is typical of fruit from volcanic soils and lots of oak use. The wine is dark, penetrating and rich. Unlike many of its peers, it still shows some fresh fruit definition long after the harvest—in this case, six years—and that's saying a lot.
