The Aloxe-Corton les Moutottes is slightly lighter and perhaps not as structured or as ageworthy as the Ladoix Les Micaudes. Light ruby in color with a bouquet redolent of cherries and raspberries, this luscious, soft wine should be consumed over the next 3-4 years. I found Roger Capitain's 1988s all delicious to drink. His wines tend to be relatively heady, supple, and deliciously fruity.

The Aloxe-Corton Les Moutottes has excellent rich, ripe fruit, more alcohol and headiness than the Ladoix Les Micaudes; it is quite appealing. It is best drunk by 1992-1993.
