Tasted from bottle, the 2016 Santenay Clos de Malte (Domaine Louis Jadot) can't quite match the cut and concentration of the 2017 rendition, but it's a pretty wine, offering up aromas of green orchard fruits, toasted nuts and freshly baked bread. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, glossy and open-knit, with a giving profile and a pure finish. It's already drinking well.
