A wine that's vinified by the grower and barreled down in Jadot's own barrels, the 2018 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile de Vergelesses (Maison Louis Jadot) exhibits attractive aromas of cherries, cassis and rich soil tones, deftly framed by creamy new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and richly tannic, with some hard angles that will round out with further élevage.
