The 2013 Grands Echézeaux Grand Cru has a detailed bouquet that has a little more clarity than the Echézeaux. You can pick the scents out individually: black cherries, boysenberry, damp earth and ceps. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tensile tannins and fine symmetry on the finish that has a beautiful sustain. This is a classy Grand Cru from Nicolas Potel.
