The blend here is distinct from the estate's Corte Manara Amarone blend, most notable is the absence of the Molinara grape, plus different percentages of the other varieties, concluding in a more focused and sharp wine with greater depth. The 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Postera, a blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 5% Croatina and 5% Oseleta, ages in French tonneaux for 18 months, another differentiator that provides more smoke, tobacco and campfire ash. This wine sees the whole 100 days of appassimento, and consequently, you're presented with more than enough dark fruit, prune and raisin. Whip up a mincemeat pie for this one. Some 10,000 bottles were made.
