Soft, round and velvety, the 2012 Chianti Rufina Riserva Pian dei Sorbi is a wine of solid mass, structure and appeal. It shows dark fruit nuances with thick layers of spice, chocolate and tobacco. The tannins are round and succulent. Riserva Pian dei Sorbi is made with 80% Sangiovese and 20% Colorino, and is only aged in large oak casks.
