A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Board Track Racer The Chief opens with a bright nose of juicy black plum, dark cherry and blackberry jus before showing subtle hints of baking spices and dusty purple flowers. Medium to full-bodied, the wine has a balanced frame, juicy acidity and lively black raspberry tension and slides down the throat too easily and whispers for me to enjoy more. It’s hard to find this quality at this price. Well done!
