The 2022 Little Demon Grenache Rose has utilized McLaren Vale's most impressive variety to nice effect here, with strawberry, bay leaf and sage, raspberry, licorice and thyme. This is fresh and uncomplicated.

The pretty, flamingo-hued 2020 Little Demon Grenache Rose comes out of the bottle hinting at damp earth, coffee grounds and road tar. A quick splash-decanting will help bring more fruity elements to the fore in the form of mixed red berries and citrus. It's medium-bodied and supple in texture in the mouth, with a lingering, savory finish—just be patient with it after opening.

Ripe strawberries, perked up by a squeeze of lime, abound on the nose of Maxwell's 2019 Little Demon Grenache Rose. It's a ripe, medium-bodied rosé that isn't afraid to show a bit of color and flavor, attributes that sometimes seem lost on other rosé producers. Showing ample concentration and length on the finish, it should be enjoyed over the next year or so.
