The Mazzi Roberto & Figli 2019 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Sanperetto shows wild berry and sour cherry with slightly herbal notes of grilled rosemary and lavender bud. This is a lean-bodied, entry-level wine to pair with a classic burger and fries. Some 20,000 bottles were created.

Showing a medium ruby color and a streamlined consistency, the Mazzi Roberto & Figli 2018 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Sanperetto aspires to simplicity and ease of drinking. The blend is 65% Corvina, 5% Corvinone, 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara, and the wine ages in oak for nine months. The bouquet delivers bright cherry aromas and tangy plum with light spice and bitter almond. The 2018 vintage (with 16,000 bottles released) is characterized by simple fruit flavors and slightly more acidity.

The 2016 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Sanperetto is a fresh and easy-drinking wine, or one to open with a simple pasta dish, offering wild berries, dried currant and crème de cassis. There are lighter spots of smoke and spice in this blend of 60% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 10% Corvinone and 10% Molinara, thanks to 18 months of aging in large Slovenian oak. Only 25% of the total grapes are dried and for just 30 days. Some 15,000 bottles were produced.
