An impressive sleeper of the vintage, the 2007 Merlot is a blend of 75% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 8% Cabernet Franc. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a big, sweet kiss of charcoal, black currants, black cherries, coffee, mocha, spice box, licorice, and a hint of cocoa. Pure, dense, medium to full-bodied, lush, and seductive, this stunning Merlot should continue to drink well for 12-15 years.
