The 2021 Corton Les Renardes Grand Cru bursts with aromas of exotic spices, red berries, plums, rose petals and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's seamless and vibrant, with beautifully refined tannins and an expansive finish.

The 2020 Corton Les Renardes Grand Cru is superb, bursting with aromas of cherries, red berries, sweet spices, bergamot and peonies. Full-bodied, velvety and seamless, it's layered and vibrant, with a deep core of fruit that almost entirely conceals its structuring chassis of ripe, powdery tannin, concluding with a long, saline finish.

Tasted from bottle, the 2019 Corton Les Renardes Grand Cru is brilliant, bursting with aromas of orange rind, sweet red berries, loamy soil, spices and rose petals. Full-bodied, layered and velvety, it's concentrated and enveloping, with a seamless, sensual profile and a long, perfumed finish.

Mallard's 2017 Corton Les Renardes Grand Cru is showing beautifully, unwinding in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, peonies, orange rind and spices. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, it's a fleshy, sensual wine that's seamless and layered, taking on additional depth every time I taste it.

The 2016 Corton les Renardes Grand Cru had just a tiny bit of reduction on the nose, although underneath lies plenty of red berry fruit laced with woodland/autumn leaf aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, very well balanced, the most elegant and sophisticated of Mallard’s Grand Crus with a wonderful saline finish that just keeps going and going. Give this 2 or 3 years for the nose to open, and you will have a stupendous Corton les Renardes.
