Michele Satta discovered his love for Syrah in the Rh?ne, at Guigal, and this particular monovarietal expression is a nice tribute. The straightforwardly named 2015 Syrah treats you to notes of cured meat and spice, along with smoke, cherry and dark fruit. There is a sweetness and fullness to it, and overall this is an open and accessible wine. I liked the dusty mineral notes on the close.
