It opens to a light golden hue and delivers aromas of stone fruit, preserved lemon, pear and almond. This is a creamy, lean-bodied white that would pair with seafood or a summer salad.

This 70/30 blend of Vermentino and Sauvignon Blanc is like a summer day on the Tuscan Coast: sunny and salty. The 2017 Bolgheri Bianco Costa di Giulia has a bright color and shows good intensity, with lots of honey, peach and melon notes as well. The ripeness of the fruit in this hot vintage is reflected in the off-gold color of the wine.

Made with 70% Vermentino and 30% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2016 Bolgheri Bianco Costa di Giulia is a nicely made wine that offers sharpness and focus. Perhaps the bouquet is a little slow to open but it does get there eventually. Stone fruit, peach, honey and sun-ripened lemon peel off slowly from the bouquet.

A 70/30 blend of Vermentino and Sauvignon Blanc, the 2015 Bolgheri Bianco Costa di Giulia is a delicious white wine from Coastal Tuscany. It shows rich texture and a pretty embroidery of peach, honeydew melon and crushed mineral. The wine's more robust structure should help it evolve over the next three years or so.
