Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2012 Long Gully Pinot Noir has lovely black berry, black cherry and wild blueberry notes with hints of pepper, dark chocolate, anise and cloves. Medium to full-bodied with a great core of black fruits and firm, chewy tannins, it has just enough acid and finishes long and earthy.

Med ruby colored and going a little gamey, the 2010 Long Gully Pinot Noir opens with a core of warm red currants, red plums and black florest cake plus a touch of black tea. A lovely herbal lift to the medium to full-bodied palate is supported with great structure and it has a long fruit laced finish.

Ruby in color, the 2009 Long Gully Pinot Noir displays youthfully mute red cherry and red plum notes with subtle hints of beets, tree bark, moss and Ceylon tea. Medium bodied, it leads with structure on the palate with a firm level of grainy tannins and lively acidity supporting concentrated red berry and earth flavors, finishing long. Medium ruby- purple colored, the 2008 Long Gully Pinot Noir provides intense black cherry and kirsch aroma with layers of spice and earth aromas: cinnamon, cloves, forest floor and truffles. Elegant, medium bodied with excellent structure of high acid and medium-firm fine grained tannins, the flesh is still a little tight though the persistence is superb. Better is the 2007 Long Gully Pinot Noir with a beguiling nose, well defined with dark cherry fruits, redcurrant and a touch of plum. Very well integrated oak here lending it a polished feel. The palate is medium-bodied, supple tannins, very good structure with a great sense of harmony. It has a lovely, caressing plum and raspberry-flavored finish that lingers seductively.
