The saturated dense ruby/purple-colored 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Brenda Block reveals abundant, toasty vanillin (from 18 months in French oak and 2 months in new American oak) aromas, along with classic tobacco and black currant scents. Moderate tannin, delicious fruit, and nicely integrated acidity as well as new oak frame this medium to full-bodied, impressively-made Cabernet Sauvignon.
