Made with fruit from 40-year-old vines, the Negretti 2018 Barolo reveals a delicate and balanced texture with a smooth embroidery of red fruit, wild currant, pressed violet and gardening soil. The wine ages in a combination of French and Austrian oak, and 11,000 bottles were released. It feels smooth and long on the palate, and the tannins are polished and dry.

A rich version, evoking cherry, menthol and tobacco aromas and flavors. This is allied to a solid base of tannins, with lively acidity too, keeping this focused and taut. Just a tad light.
