Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2009 Shiraz offers pronounced notes of crushed blackberries, blackcurrant and black pepper with hints of Mediterranean herbs, damp soil, tree bark and cumin seeds. Medium to full bodied, taut and very crisp in the mouth, it has a medium to firm level of chewy tannins and just enough mid-palate flesh, finishing long and peppery. Drinking now, it should keep to 2016. Importer: The Wine Angel; www.Wine-Angel.com
