Leaner than the Red Willow Chardonnay of the same range, the 2019 Chardonnay DuBrul Vineyard offers a subdued and compact nose with elements of citrus skin, yellow and green apples, citrus blossom and freeze-dried corn. Medium-bodied, the palate is clean and correct with energetic acidity and subtle flavors of marzipan, sautéed almonds and fresh citrus. The wine concludes with a straightforward and uncomplicated finish. Only 40% of the volume underwent malolactic fermentation, and the wine rested for 10 months in French oak, 40% new. 3,600 bottles produced.
