The first wine they ever produced and the one they feel better represents the house style is the 2010 Reserva Especial. In this warm and healthy vintage it was 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% each Tempranillo and Garnacha. The different varieties and plots were vinified separately and the result is the outcome of a complex blending exercise. It matured in French oak barrels, 55% of them new for 12 months. Quite sleek and polished, nuanced after almost five years in bottle, it keeps good balance between fruit and tertiary aromas and character. The palate revealed fully resolved tannins and good acidity that helps to lift it up. It's aging very nicely. 10,296 bottles were filled in September 2012.

This firm red offers a core of black cherry and plum flavors framed by coffee, loamy earth and licorice notes, a nice mix of fruity and savory. The tannins are a bit grippy, but the finish is clean. The 2008 Reserva Especial is equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with 15% each Tempranillo and Garnacha. It shows more spices and shy notes of developed bouquet, but still feels quite young and unevolved, harmonious and balanced, with well-integrated oak and enough fruit, acidity and tannins.
