Made using purchased fruit from the warmer north end of the GI, the 2016 Shiraz offers cranberry and cherry notes, then adds hints of tar and earth. It's medium to full-bodied and silky in texture, picking up dark chocolate notes on a finish that feels like powdered cocoa.

Medium to deep garnet/purple, the 2013 Shiraz opens to notes of baked cherry, blackberry and mulberry with hints of Indian spice, pepper and sauteed herbs. Medium to full-bodied in the mouth, the spicy palate has a baked berry character that is soft and a little simple through the medium to long finish.
