The 2007 La Morera de Montsant is a blend of 60% Garnacha, 20% Carinena, and 20% Merlot aged for 12 months in seasoned French oak. A glass-coating opaque purple, the nose is informed by smoky minerals, black cherry, lavender, and espresso notes. The 2003 Pasanau La Morera de Montsant is a blend of Garnacha, Merlot, Cabernet, and Syrah aged for one year in a mixture of French and American oak. This dark ruby-colored wine is Rhone-like in its expression of garrigue, spice, leather and mineral.
