The flagship of the portfolio is the 2009 Pinot Noir Lorna Marie, a selection of the four best barrels in the cellar. Sweetly fruited and forward, this is a savory, pleasure-bent Pinot with excellent length and balance that should drink well for 8-10 years, unusual in this vintage.Monty Pitt and David Chen purchased their 72 acre parcel in 1995 and began planting in 1997. Their first vintage was 1999 and currently all the wines are estate bottled (in screw caps). Production stands at 3000 cases.www.pattonvalley.com
