Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2009 “Luccio” Sangiovese offers aromas of raspberry preserves and kirsch over stewed tea, tobacco and dried herbs. Medium to full bodied with a good amount of expressive fruit, it has crisp acid and a medium level of chewy tannins, finishing with medium-long persistence. Drink this one now to 2014.
