The Planeta 2019 Vittoria Frappato reveals a light ruby color with pretty inner gloss and shine. This is a versatile and quick-drinking Sicilian red that can pair with easy seafood dishes or fried fish. To the nose, the wine shows berry notes and tar with a touch of green olive. It is thin, streamlined and fresh. Some 50,000 bottles were made.

The 2018 Vittoria Frappato expands on many of the best qualities of this grape: the lightness, the freshness and the simplicity. This wine is all about primary intensity, with wild cherry, olive and grilled herb. You could pair it with codfish or grilled chicken. This vintage is a little leaner than normal, but all those moving pieces work in general harmony.

The 2017 Vittoria Frappato is a lean, lightweight red wine to serve slightly chilled, in my opinion. This is an easy-drinking red to pair with white meat or baked fish. The wine emits pretty aromas of dried violets, lilac, wild berry and pistachio nut.
