The 2002 “Zambujeiro” provides some intensity, but also added some green notes, hints of asparagus, that did not particularly make me want to run out and buy it at its hefty price. That said, there is also good fruit here, and a little better support than seen on the other bottlings reviewed here from this winery. The texture remains velvety. I liked the roundness of the wine, and the juiciness of the fruit. Even though this had greater depth, however, I frankly liked the “Terra” bottling as well just on flavor profile.
