The 2020 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast has bright aromas of yellow apple and jasmine with bass tones of mushroom and dried hay. The medium-bodied palate is silky and refreshing with generous, juicy fruit and a savory finish.

The 2019 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast has bright aromas of lemon, orange and peach with touches of almonds and wet stone. The medium-bodied palate offers an alluring dynamic of tangy acidity and a rounded, creamy texture, finishing long with pure flavors. 3,461 cases produced.

The 2018 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast, aged 12 months in 15% new French oak, is shy on the nose at this stage, with crushed shell and citrus peel. The palate fleshes out to ripe orchard fruits and nutty tones, super silky, fresh and long. It deserves another year or two in bottle. 4,700 cases were made.

The 2017 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast comes entirely from Martinelli's Charles Ranch vineyard. A core of fresh orchard fruits is accented by notions of dried herbs, flint and charcuterie, with a medium-bodied, gently creamy palate that finishes long and fresh. 3,359 cases produced.

The 2016 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast comes mainly from Martinelli's Charles Ranch vineyard, with vines planted in 1982. Grapes are whole-cluster pressed and fermented in barrel with batonnage, then aged 12 months in 12% new French oak. It has a lovely toasty nose with buttered popcorn hints over lemon pith, soft melon and stone. Medium to full-bodied, it has concentrated ripe fruits in the mouth with accents of toast and roasted almonds, lifted by great tangy acidity and finishing very long and very lively. 3,017 cases produced, to be released in July 2019.
