The one Rhone-influenced wine is the purple-colored 2006 Syrah Pepper Bridge Vineyard, 100% varietal and aged in neutral French oak for 18 months. It offers up a captivating bouquet of smoked meat, game, pepper, lavender, and blueberry. Full-bodied, ripe, and easy-going on the palate, this opulent, savory Syrah is impeccably balanced. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 8-10 years. Reininger Winery opened its doors in 1997. The wines are made by Chuck Reininger with lots of family help with winery operations. The Reininger label is reserved for wines produced with Walla Walla grown grapes while the Helix label, reviewed separately, is used for Columbia Valley fruit.Tel.
