The 1993 Zinfandel Old Vine Eschen Vineyard Fiddletown exhibits the most saturated black/purple color of the three Renwood 1993 Zinfandels, and an enormously promising black-cherry and raspberry-scented nose that soars from the glass. This highly-extracted, full-bodied, velvety-textured, mouthfilling, in-your-face, alcoholic, dry Zinfandel is remarkably well-balanced given its size. Drink it over the next 10-15 years. Most readers will enjoy this wine more if they do not take notice of the alcohol content listed on the label. This is an impressive wine!Winemaker Scott Harvey turns out limited production, exceptionally high quality Zinfandels from some of Amador's most renowned vineyards. The Old Vine cuvee comes from a 54-year old plot, which is young when compared to the 83-year old Eschen Vineyard and 125-year old Grand Pere Vineyard.Tel. (209) 245-6979
