The 2020 Bull Trader Shiraz is, at this stage, dominated by savory, almost dusty oak. The fruit is red and savory, with layers of pan-roasted spices in the mix. Having tasted this wine six months ago, I really enjoyed it far more then, as its jubilance and buoyancy of fruit was an utter joy to drink. It is currently between drinking stages and is showing more of its cigar clippings/humidor/spicy side than it is succulent. Production wise, it had some whole berries in the ferment and matured for 18 months in a combination of seasoned French and American oak. Drink up. (I love this wine in its youth; its an early-drinking style, and it does it well. I'm looking forward to seeing the 2021.)
