This is complex and deep with red plums, wild berry bush, chocolate and tree bark. Full and very fine tannins that are compact and evenly distributed across the palate, and give the wine viscous and taut structure. Long and complex with a solid fruit core underneath. Try after 2026.

This is rich and broad, featuring plum, cherry, leather, spice, tobacco and mineral flavors. Complex and beautifully balanced, with lively tannins directing the finish, this red shows class and finesse. Fruit, mineral and spice accents prevail on the aftertaste. This bright red is laced with cherry, strawberry, mint and rose water aromas and flavors. Elegant and harmonious, with light accents of licorice and iron peeking through on the finish. The 2013 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata shows impressive balance between its elegant side and its powerful inner core. The wine is lean and complete in terms of texture, but it fleshes out further just as soon as it hits the palate. It is aged in Slavonian oak for 24 months, with an extra 12 months in the bottle.

The 2012 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata is a little more subdued and undertone in terms of its aromatic intensity (compared to the more exuberant 2011 vintage before it). No matter, you still get tons of Nebbiolo personality nonetheless. The tannins are a little edgy, but this wine should sail though the next decade without a wrinkle.
