Rodolfo Migliorini bends the rules with playful inspiration. The 2009 Langhe Quatr Nas is a blend of red grapes, including Nebbiolo and other varieties such as Merlot, Pinot Nero and Cabernet Sauvignon, that you don't often associate with local viticulture. He does a terrific job with this wine. It delivers robust and textured layers of dark fruit and spice. You feel the structure of the Cabernet with the softness of the Merlot.
