Sourced from vines 10km north of Cromwell on a glacial terrace, the 2008 Parkburn Riesling has good intensity on the nose, fine definition with notes of apple, gooseberry and nettle. Initially subdued, it opens up with aeration. The palate is crisp and forward, not a complex Riesling, but more extrovert with vibrant apple and citrus fruits with admirable length. Drink over 2-3 years. Malcolm Francis continues to produce some fine Central Otago whites with an impressive Pinot in 2007.No known US importer.

The 2007 Parkburn Riesling gives intense grapefruit and lime juice aromas with a touch of honey. Medium bodied and produced to a medium-dry style, it offers plenty of citrus flavors in the mouth with lively acidity and a long finish. Drink it now to 2015. Rockburn currently does not have a USA importer.
