Rolf Binder’s 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Mataro displays a deep garnet color with a hint of purple and aromas of crushed black currants, blueberries and dried Mediterranean herbs with hints of pencil shavings and dusty earth. Medium to full bodied, it offers a good amount of ripe berry flavors in the mouth, solidly structured, a medium to firm level of fine-grained tannins and lively acid, finishing long. Drink it now through 2016. Importer: Total Beverage Solution, Mount Pleasant, SC.
